Mark & Carry stores your bowling record on your device. If you use iCloud, Apple syncs that record through your private iCloud account. We do not sell your data, use advertising trackers, or create a public bowling profile.
What the app stores
The app stores the profile, seasons, scores, frame and pin details, bowling balls, centers, lane conditions, goals, and notes you choose to enter.
Payments
Apple processes purchases. RevenueCat helps the app recognize whether Pro is active. For that purpose, RevenueCat receives purchase history, an anonymous app user ID, and basic device information such as device type and operating system. We use purchase history for app functionality and subscription analytics. It is not used for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps and websites. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Analytics and diagnostics
The app does not include an advertising SDK or a separate product analytics SDK. Your bowler name, notes, individual game scores, center details, bowling ball names, and export contents are not sent to us, RevenueCat, or the AI provider.
In-app feedback
After you have opened the app a few times, Mark & Carry may ask for feedback. If you answer, AppFeedbackKit receives your answers, app and device details, time spent in the app, launch count, and active App Store subscriptions. It uses a random ID that resets when you reinstall the app. This information is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
AI Coach
Pro's AI Coach runs only after you choose to send a summary. It sends totals, averages, strike and spare results, and pin counts from at least three games. It does not include your name, labels, notes, or individual game scores.
Video Review reads a clip of up to 90 seconds on your iPhone. The original video, pictures from the video, audio, body-joint points, and ball path are not uploaded. The recording and its full analysis stay in protected local app storage and are not added to iCloud.
If you ask AI Coach to explain a Video Review, the app sends only measurements with a usable or strong video fit, plus the number of rolls, video frame rate, and review mode. Those measurements may include ball speed, rev rate, axis estimates, release timing, knee bend, and torso lean. The video itself is never sent.
Our server checks your random RevenueCat support ID to confirm Pro, applies a usage limit, and sends the summary to Replicate's openai/gpt-5-mini model. We do not keep the summary or answer on our server. Replicate automatically removes API prediction inputs, outputs, and logs after one hour by default. The answer is saved only on your device so you can read it again.
To prevent abuse, the server scrambles the request's network address and keeps only that scrambled value for a short time. It is not joined to your bowling record, used to infer your location, or used for advertising.
Website
This website does not use advertising trackers or sell visitor data. Basic hosting logs may include technical information such as browser type, request time, and IP address for security and reliability.
Your choices
You can export or delete your records inside the app. Turning off iCloud access for Mark & Carry in iPhone Settings stops future cloud sync. Deleting the app removes local data that has not been preserved elsewhere.
